An elected Putnam County official and the leader of a preservation group are questioning the Florida Senate’s push for the restoration of Rodman Reservoir via the destruction of the adjacent dam.
The directives required by Senate Bill 2500 ask the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to develop a plan by July 1, 2026, for partial restoration of the Ocklawaha River by Dec. 31, 2035.
