GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – The long battle over the Ocklawaha River is going to the state legislature.

Legislation was introduced today to remove the Kirkpatrick Dam, drain the Rodman Reservoir, and restore the Ocklawaha River.

The bill would begin a process that would reconnect Silver Springs to the Saint Johns River by 2032.
