I am a Putnam County resident and retired environmental scientist who has studied
Florida’s springs and rivers while working for both the Suwanee River Water Management
District and St. Johns River Water Management District for 35 years. I wish to speak for the
many groups and individuals who support the restoration of the Ocklawaha River. Decades
of research show Rodman Reservoir and the Kirkpatrick Dam do more harm than good for
our local waterways…
