No matter what the local politicians tell you, there is utterly no good reason to maintain the Rodman reservoir. The real science from the University of Florida’s ecological and economic studies clearly shows the best thing to happen is to restore the Ocklawaha River. Not only would the natural settings be strongly enhanced but more money would flow into Putnam County.

The idea that the pool is a backup water source is patently absurd. l’m surprised anyone can suggest that and keep a straight face absolutely utter nonsense…
